HSHA will be hosting an activity booth at the 2018 Children & Youth Day (www.hawaiicyd.org), which will be held on Sunday, October 7th, at the State Capitol building's Diamond Lawn from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
CYD kicks off Children and Youth Month, and is a time to recognize the potential and special gifts of our keiki (children) and ‘opio (youth). It is a time for them to shine and share their bountiful energy with their community. HSHA will have a booth that engages keiki in the event's Early Learning Zone, and is directly connected with our mission and vision. This event honors and celebrates our children and youth in Hawaii, and will have over 300 interactive, educational, fun activities for infants, toddlers, children, youth and the entire family.
Volunteers for this event are needed to help with set-up and take down, and to help children with our booth's activities. Any help would be immensely appreciated.
Please register to volunteer by October 1. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Public Relations Chair Amy Shipley (firstname.lastname@example.org).
We hope to see you there!
